Understanding the puzzle - The dominoes and colored areas
NYT Pips is a domino logic game. Fill the grid by placing dominoes that satisfy each colored region’s condition. The conditions are as follows:
- Equals (=)
- All cells in the region must show the same number. Here, every cell is “2”.
- Not equal (≠)
- Cells in the region must show different numbers. All numbers in this region, 1, 2 and 5, are different.
- Number target (sum)
- The sum of all cells in the region equals the target. Here the region sums to 5.
- Greater than (>n)
- The sum of cells in the region must be greater than the target. Top row 2+5 satisfies >3.
- Less than (<n)
- The sum of cells in the region must be less than the target. Top row 0+2 satisfies <3.
- Blank
- Any domino placement is valid in this region.
